Depuis une vingtaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es, il produit des installations ainsi que des \u0153uvres textuelles, vid\u00e9os et sonores. Les dispositifs qu\u2019il met en place explorent la question du contr\u00f4le et ses implications tant sociales que psychologiques. Son travail a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 lors d\u2019expositions individuelles et collectives \u2014 notamment au Centre d\u2019art contemporain de Meymac (France, 2008), \u00e0 l\u2019\u0152il de poisson (Qu\u00e9bec, 2010), \u00e0 Momenta Art (New York, 2013), \u00e0 CIRCA (Montr\u00e9al, 2015), au Lieu (Qu\u00e9bec, 2017), \u00e0 AXEN\u00c9O7 (Gatineau, 2019), ainsi que dans des festivals \u00e9tablis tels que MUTEK (Montr\u00e9al, 2005 et 2010). En 2012, il a re\u00e7u la bourse Claudine et Stephen Bronfman en art contemporain. En 2014, il lan\u00e7ait <em>La doublure<\/em>, une publication portant sur le projet du m\u00eame titre pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 \u00e0 la Galerie de l\u2019UQAM (Montr\u00e9al, 2012).[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>EN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>S\u00e9bastien Cliche is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Montreal. Over the past two decades, he has produced installations, as well as textual, video and sound-based art. The systems he creates explore the question of control, both psychologically and socially speaking. His work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions, notably at Centre d\u2019art contemporain de Meymac (France, 2008), \u0152il de poisson (Qu\u00e9bec, 2010), Momenta Art (New York, 2013), CIRCA (Montr\u00e9al, 2015), le Lieu (Qu\u00e9bec, 2017), AXEN\u00c9O7 (Gatineau, 2019) as well as in established festivals such as MUTEK (Montreal, 2005 and 2010).
